Brief Psychotherapy with
Attachment-Focused EMDR
I offer short-term psychotherapy using Attachment-Focused EMDR in a format of 6–12 sessions. This focused approach is designed to create meaningful shifts in a relatively short time frame. While gentle and collaborative, AF-EMDR is able to target and transform the negative beliefs we form in the wake of traumatic events or challenging relationships. It also outfits clients with a whole new technique for self-regulation that they can bring home and use any time. In my use of this method, I draw on nearly a decade of experience using somatic and experiential techniques to help individuals understand and shift lifelong behavioral, emotional, and relational patterns.
AF-EMDR has been found effective for a wide range of concerns—trauma and PTSD from early and adult life, anxiety, depression, relational distress, self-esteem issues, insecure attachment, emotional dysregulation, phobias, performance issues, and spiritual and creative blocks, and can be supportive as an adjunct therapy for those struggling with addictions, eating disorders, and ADHD.
As a practitioner of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, I also find AF-EMDR valuable for integration of difficult or intense psychedelic experiences. It can help reduce any traumatic effects of the experience while identifying and amplifying positive transformational aspects.
Whether you're navigating a difficult breakup or the complexities of connection, working to break through persistent deficits in self-esteem, processing a recent psychedelic journey, or feeling stuck on your spiritual path, this approach meets you with compassion, precision, and depth.
This therapy can stand on its own or be used in combination with psychedelic and sound meditation work to enhance integration and deepen your healing process.
